local places to eat off campus
Loughborough is at the heart of England in the northern most part of the county of Leicestershire and being centrally placed it is well served by road, rail and air.
Main line road and rail networks link Loughborough directly with the rest of the country and the town itself is served by excellent bus services.
Loughborough University is less than two miles away from junction 23 of the M1 motorway.
London is one-and-a-half hours away by train, Birmingham one hour and Manchester and Leeds around two hours.
There are regular scheduled flights from UK, European and international destinations to East Midlands Airport, only 7 miles away.
Getting to the Campus
You can get a taxi from Loughborough train station to the university campus. The fare is around £10.00.
The 'Sprint' bus runs from Loughborough train station through the town centre and into the University. Delegates to alight at Holywell Park (this is the nearest stop on campus to West Park Teaching Hub). See map and timetables attached.
Buses run every 15 minutes (Mon-Thurs) and every 20 minutes (Sat).
I've checked the fare and its £2 single from the station to the campus.
Parking on Campus
If you are staying at Burleigh Court Hotel you can leave it in the car park at Burleigh. If not you will be directed to the Holywell car park. Security will give you a pass.
