AAH Membership is open to all professional and independent art and design historians, researchers, and students, and to those involved in education, galleries and museums or freelance work. Membership is also open to anyone with an active interest in and commitment to art and design history.
How to become an AAH Member
AAH membership runs for 12 months from date of joining. To join or renew for this year click on the following options. New and existing members will need to Login and register to access online forms.

- I want to renew my existing AAH membership: renew online or download renewal form
Important: Online renewal is only available to members who were fully paid-up for the previous year. If your membership has lapsed and you are not a current member please re-join as a new member.

Art History Subscription Special Offer: 75% discount
AAH Members save up to £100 on your annual subscription to Art History
Current members pay only £30 for a UK subscription to the journal, whilst a non-member subscription costs £133. Annual subscriptions now include online access too! For full details, click here.
How can I claim this membership discount subscription?
All you need is a current membership number. Paid-up members can either complete an online subscription form via the Members-only area*, or contact Wiley-Blackwell subscription services directly, online or over the phone.
*To access the Members-only area members must first Login and Register, if they've not done so already. You will also need to quote your current four digit membership number. These discounts are not available to Institutional members or holders of Library subscriptions to Bulletin.
Save 10% on membership fees and pay by Direct Debit
If you wish to pay for AAH membership by Direct Debit, please complete and return the Direct Debit Instruction section of the Membership form by 1 January. Please retain a Direct Debit Guarantee.
