Membership is open to all professional and independent art and design historians, researchers, and students, and to those involved in education, galleries and museums or freelance work. Membership is also open to anyone with an active interest in and commitment to art and design history.

Please note that AAH membership is annual and runs from 1 January to 31 December each year. AAH membership is based on subscriptions. This means that if you join in June 2006 and susbcribe to Art History or The Art Book you will receive a complete set of publications for 2006, including back issues. You would need to renew your membership after 31 Dec to receive 2007 issues.
