AAH Publications

The AAH produces three main publications, these are:

Art Hiostory, The Art Book and Bulletin

Art History
 is an academic journal, which is published five times a year. It is published in association with Blackwell Publishers. For more information click the link for Art History or visit www.blackwellpublishing.com.

The Art Book is a quarterly reviews magazine. It is published in association with Blackwell Publishers and is also available over the counter at selected galleries and at all good book shops. For more information click on the link for The Art Book or visit www.blackwellpublishing.com.

Bulletin is the AAH members’ newsletter which is published and circulated three times a year. All current members should receive a copy of the newsletter. Getting discount Membership subscriptions to Art History and The Art Book
Paid-up members wishing to subscribe to 2009 issues of Art History and/or The Art Book will be issued with a unique members' discount code when they renew or join for 2009. This code should be quoted when completing the online Wiley-Blackwell Subscription Form, which will be available to members via the online Members-only area.To access this area members must first Login and register, if they've not done so already. Members will also be able to use the code when applying over the phone for subsscriptions with Wiley-Blackwell. New - From 2009 Membership subscriptions will now include online access to Art History and The Art Book.

Careers in Art History
Currently in its third edition Careers in Art History is a 120- page booklet that details a range of different career options and offers advice and information for those involved in art history and visual culture. The booklet contains 33 chapters and covers a range of different careers including curating, conservation, teaching, journalism, arts administration and many more.

Teaching Art & Design History: Working with Students with Disabilities (pdf version)
A comprehensive 27-page booklet. It was produced in association with the Learning and Teaching Support Network in response to the Special Educational Needs and Disability Act 2001. Published: 2003

21st-Century Art History: Global Reception (pdf version)
A leaflet that has been published in collaboration with the ADM-HEA. It considers how recent attempts to ‘globalise’ art history have impacted on research and on teaching and learning strategies. The leaflet follows a series of papers that were presented at the AAH annual conference, Conception: Reception held in Bristol in 2005 which, in part, were stimulated by the GLAADH project.
